As part of its ongoing expansion in the Philippines, US-based business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, Concentrix, has opened its new state-of-the-art business facility at the Tera Tower in Bridgetowne, Quezon City. The new site boasts of amenities that boost employee productivity.

“First class Filipino talents deserve to have first class space,” said Elek Toth, Vice President of Philippine Operations and Delivery, Concentrix.

The Concentrix office at the Tera Tower comprises of 11 state-of-the-art floors for operations and back office work, a dedicated recruitment hub and other building features such as a centralized cafeteria, a clinic with doctor’s offices and a patient waiting area, shower suites, a fitness center, and a wellness area for mothers.

In an interview with Upgrademag.com, Chris Caldwell, President at Concentrix Corporation, claims the new business facility, when fully established over the next three years, is estimated to cost about US$25-million to US$30-million.

“We are committed to providing our staff and clients with the best resources and facilities,” said Caldwell. “Our growth in the Philippines demonstrates the tremendous talent that’s here and our continued commitment to this region. Our staff represent some of the world’s best brands and repeatedly deliver better customer experience and improved business outcomes for our clients.”

Currently measuring 22,500-square meter, the facility is part of a larger campus project that Concentrix has planned in Bridgetowne. When fully completed over the next three years, the company will occupy 57,500-square meter over the Tera and yet to be completed Exxa and Zeta towers in the development.

Concentrix now has 11 business sites in the Philippines, located in Metro Manila, Naga, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and Cebu. These sites extend services to industries such as banking and finance, healthcare and pharmaceutical, insurance, technology, consumer electronics, retail and e-commerce, government and public sector, media and communications, automotive and travel, as well as transportation and tourism.

It is also looking to expand its operations by opening additional business sites this year, most likely in Metro Manila.

Hiring outlook

According to Caldwell, the new business site will accommodate 14,000 employees when it is completely finished over the next three years.

“We have a little over 5,000 people here. It would be up to 6,000 by March time frame, and then the rest of the growth to the 14,000 would be over the next year and a half from now,” said Caldwell.

The company currently has over 20,000 staff in its business facilities throughout Metro Manila and in provinces. It is expected to generate more employment and growth in the country with its recently announced intent to acquire Minacs, another business services company with Philippine presence.

Staff development

Apart from investing for its company’s growth, Concentrix also has plans for growth and opportunities of its staff in the Philippines.

“Within the Philippines, we’re very focus on the Filipino family and lifestyle. We spent a lot of time in developing the right environment, external promotions, future growth and opportunities for our members and staff. We provide opportunities for Filipino staff to work in other parts of our global organization’s operations,” said Caldwell.

“We are recognized as an industry leader,” said Toth. “We are different by design and our presence in the Philippines is one of the reasons for that. With plans to grow both our staff and sites in the country, Concentrix will continue to be a driving force in the industry.”

Concentrix has established partnerships with local universities and colleges regarding talent development and sharing of their technology.

“We have a partnership with Far Eastern Univeristy. We’re working with it right now. We also work with other universities on a casual basis,” said Caldwell.
