(Makati, Philippines, 5 August 2016) Alorica, a worldwide leader in customer experience outsourcing solutions, opens its 18th site in Makati City, in collaboration with prime real estate property developer Majalco Inc. and top real estate brokerage firm Leechiu Property Consultants (LPC), Inc., boosting its presence in the Philippines. This will bring the total number of its seats to more than 28,000, cementing the Philippines’ role as a key hub in Asia that is vital to the success of Alorica’s global growth strategy. The additional new jobs in the Makati delivery center augment the company’s 92,000-strong team in 16 countries.

Over the years, Majalco, Inc., headed by President George Martirez, has expanded its business line such as banking – Malayan Bank, investment banking – Unicapital Inc., headed by President/CEO Jaime Martirez, finance and leasing – Unicapital Finance & Investments Inc., and stock brokerage firm – Unicapital Securities Inc. The company has built its own real estate development brand by acquiring and developing prime commercial properties in the Makati and Bonifacio Global City.

The new office in Makati City will house top-notch IT solutions for Filipino agents to serve Alorica’s marquee clients using different channels such as voice, mobile, chat, social media and video.
“This exceptional and steady growth shows continued client demand and demonstrates Alorica’s thrust to tap dedicated and talented employees in the Philippines to consistently deliver top-notch technical service and world-class customer experience,” shares Alorica Asia President Bong Borja.

More than just providing jobs, Alorica primarily values the holistic wellbeing of employees as the new site will be built with agents’ comfort in mind—new amenities, employee lounges, napping quarters, accessibility to public transportation, and safe location. Alorica is also appointing Culture Champions in every site who will be responsible for driving employee engagement, fun activities, and will serve as a conduit between the frontline agents and management.

Building communities is also core to Alorica’s philosophy of doing business. Later this year, Alorica will bring to this new site an independent non-profit organization called Making Lives Better with Alorica (MLBA). MLBA has a chapter in every U.S. site and this will be the first one in the Philippines. MLBA is focused on making a difference in people’s lives, not just for the clients, customers, and colleagues but also for the community where it operates.

Alorica sends deserving students to school under its scholarship program and equips communities and schools with tools, learning, and resources to sharpen skills of grade school and high school students to improve performance and provide them with necessary knowledge and skills needed in today’s technology-focused economy. Alorica has also earmarked other locations in the Philippines and will invest in future growth not only in Metro Manila but also expanding its footprint in hopes to jumpstart inclusive development in secondary cities outside the more established business district hubs.

“To be able to achieve these expansion goals to drive our business growth, we have chosen to partner with LPC because of their experience and top position in the Philippine real estate market. Our new office is provided with a full suite of business solutions and IT equipment that will enable our agents to service our global clients and engage with them in all possible communication channels,” says Borja.

For its part, LPC acknowledged that this new key partnership is a bold testament to the IT-BPO industry’s sustained growth in the country, driving momentum for double-digit growth in the Philippine real estate market, especially for the office space segment.

“We, at LPC, understand the value of the IT-BPO industry clients, such as Alorica, in driving economic growth and it is our mandate to offer them the finest advice on location and periphery support systems so they can do what they do best – servicing global companies on key technical and back office needs,” shares LPC CEO David Leechiu.

“Our company boasts a deep understanding of potential sites for IT-BPO clients through first-hand experience in both emerging and established cities in the country. Makati City has consistently figured as a top office location for IT-BPO firms given its strategic location in the metro and the amenities made available in the central business district, which our partner, Alorica, wanted for its new office. We are proud to be partners with them for they are a top player in the highly competitive IT-BPO industry,” says Leechiu.

The continued expansion in the country is in line with the forecast of the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) to increase total outsourcing jobs to 1.3 million by 2016—a strong indicator of Philippine BPO growth even while industries in other Western countries have slowed down.
