ePerformax Contact Centers BPO, in conjunction with the Pueblo de Panay Township and Capiz ICT Council, recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony, for ePerformax’s newest facility in the Pueblo de Panay TechnoPark. The building will have a total of five floors, three of which will be dedicated to ePerformax, with space allotted for client operations and a training center for ePerformax Global Communications & Management Academy (GCMA).
According to Teresa Hartsaw, President and CEO of ePerformax Contact Centers & BPO, “Our intent is to build a state-of-the-art customer care center and GCMA to support the ever changing needs of our clients. We are not simply building a call center where representatives answer phones and provide basic customer care. The future of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in the Philippines is going to require highly trained professionals who can consult with customers on complex subjects such as travel arrangements or financial planning.”
She also shared that the basic customer support services that have fueled the growth trajectory the BPO industry experienced over the last ten years will be replaced over the next ten years by customer self-service options and automated customer interactive systems. What they are about to build here in Roxas City is the next generation of BPO that provides solid professional careers for people instead of the more transaction-based customer service jobs.
“Our extensive training provides individuals with the knowledge, skills and behaviors they need to be successful working with global customers and the majority of what we focus on is communication. Our communication training extends beyond how to speak global English; it also focuses on how to build consultative customer service skills,” Hartsaw explained.
When ePerformax was introduced to the developer of Pueblo de Panay, President and CEO Jose Nery “Bub” Ong, it was clear they shared the same vision. Bub didn’t want to build just another IT Park. Instead he wants to build an environment that provides people with a new and improved lifestyle; a place people from all different market segments can prosper by combining their profession, their living, and their recreation all in one place.
ePerformax’s intention is to open the site in approximately 14 months with its newest travel client Upside, a new business travel company created by the same team of entrepreneurs that started Priceline.com.
“We are honored and excited to have ePerformax become one of our flagship businesses at the Pueblo de Panay TechnoPark, which is also the first Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) registered IT Park in Northern Panay Island. Once we understood ePerformax’ vision for incorporating its GCMA here and building long-term career opportunities for Filipinos, we knew they were the right fit for our area. We are not building this township with a short-term mindset. We are partnering with our locators, the local government units, national government agencies, the academe, the business sector and other stake- holders in our community to provide gainful, local employment,” Ong explained.
They have been crafting ways and means to enhance the overall attractiveness of Pueblo de Panay Township to be able to retain local talent and even attract the best and the brightest of the Philippines to the area. They have started laying the foundations of a mixed-use township development which will have world-class amenities inspired by our local history and culture. Only one-third of the total area will be buildable with the rest allocated to parks and open/common spaces. This ensures real Life-Work-Balance that every Filipino family aspires for and truly deserves.
The ePerformax building is scheduled to be completed in October 2017. In the meantime, Pueblo de Panay is building recruitment and training center with ePerformax that is expected to open in November of this year. ePerformax has already begun looking for talented individuals who have the potential and desire to build a new career in the travel industry, since Upside will be the company’s first client when the facility opens.
Applicants must be willing to train in Manila at ePerformax’s center, which is located near the Mall of Asia until the facility in Roxas City is built. According to Dennis Lindley, Chief Operating Officer of ePerformax, “This is an excellent time for individuals who are interested in the opportunity to get onboard because the people we hire today and train in Manila, will most likely become the future management team for our facility here in Pueblo de Panay.”
