Customer Contact Channels (C3), a Florida-based business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, targets to open two new facilities in the Philippines in two years, and to double the number of its employees in the next five years.
C3 Global chief executive officer Sudhir Agarwal said in a briefing in Taguig City on Thursday that the company eyes to invest $5 million to $10 million (about P250 million to P500 million) to establish the two new facilities outside Metro Manila, in addition to its office in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
“We’re looking at three locations, including Davao,” said Agarwal.
He added that C3 aims to set up new facilities in areas with available pool of talents, infrastructure, and a good transportation system.
Aside from investing in the new facilities, C3 targets to expand in the Philippine market through acquisitions, the executive said.
He noted that the Philippines remains an attractive destination for BPO firms with the country’s highly educated and English-speaking manpower, business policy, and government support to the industry.
Moreover, C3 plans to double the number of its employees in the next five years to 5,600 from its current headcount of 2,800.
Agarwal mentioned that the company will be creating value-added jobs, looking at offering end-to-end solutions to its customers, as well as investing in upgrading its technology.
He noted that in the past six years, C3 has grown by 60 percent in terms of revenue, higher than its global revenue growth of 50 percent compound annual growth rate.
“The Philippines is crucial for us, not just in the region but for our global operations,” he said.
Aside from the Philippines, C3 is currently operating in two other countries — the United States, and Guatemala.
The company eyes expanding in two other countries this year to service its customers in various Asian markets.
C3 is also looking at growing its worldwide headcount to 18,000 in the next five years from its current employment of 8,500.
