Dr. Timothy Senathirajah is the 5G Evangelist and Advisor on Network Strategy for PLDT, which offers the largest and most diverse range of fixed line and wireless services across the Philippines.

With over 30 years of experience in the global Information Communications Technology (ICT) industry, he has been part of the global mobile broadband revolution. His journey in Ericsson and later in Nokia has taken him around the globe supporting many operators on their digital service provider transformation. His achievements include being part of the initial deployment teams, of one of the first 3G network back in 2000, and later with the LTE networks in Japan. In 2016, he carried out the first live 5G tests in the Philippines with PLDT Smart. In July this year, Smart launched the first 5G Mobile Service in the Philippines.

His hobby has become his career and he is passionate about connecting the unconnected. He is an advocate for the use of technology with education, to improve the lives of all members of the society.
