Salute to the Filipino talent! TP in the Philippines EVP for Business Development Fides Amor Ricasa (second from left) shares insights on the organization’s success in the country through the notable strengths of the Filipino workforce.
TP, a global leader in digital business services, recently joined an expert panel of industry leaders at the France-Philippines Business Forum hosted by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCIFP).
Organized with the Embassy of France to the Philippines, les Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France, Philippines-France Business Council, Makati Business Club, and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the high-level gathering facilitated an in-depth examination of significant French-Philippine business developments while serving as a platform to strengthen trade and expand investments between the two countries.
During the session “Take Advantage of Philippines Ecosystem and Competitive Advantages”, TP in the Philippines Executive Vice President for Business Development Fides Amor Ricasa shared key factors for success and the notable strengths of a Filipino workforce in the highly competitive global business process outsourcing (BPO) industry that TP has been able to harness to sustain growth.
“The Philippines has always been known to provide comprehensive business solutions without compromising quality. This can be attributed to several factors. First and foremost, we get a lot of support from the national government. The government has been very supportive in terms of implementing policies, tax incentives, and allowances for the IT-BPM industry to thrive and grow exponentially. Second, the Filipino workforce continues to be highly skilled and highly proficient in the English language. Third, Filipinos have always possessed cultural fluency. We’re able to integrate the corporate culture of our global clients into ours easily. Lastly, the presence of many global tech companies has also helped in making the Filipino workforce adept in utilizing the latest technology,” Ricasa explained.
When asked how international companies, especially French ones, have benefited from working with TP in the Philippines, Ricasa said that the organization is “very well entrenched in the country.”
“We have been operating here for almost 30 years, have employed more than 60,000 people, and have expanded to 27 sites from north to south of the nation, on top of maintaining performance excellence in line with our clients’ priorities. We have mastered the art of finding, recruiting, and developing homegrown talents which have supported the diverse businesses we operate in terms of supporting customers from around the world. Furthermore, we have embedded ourselves in Filipino communities not only to give back, but to harness local talents. Aside from CCIFP, we’ve also partnered with other international organizations such as Life Project 4 Youth, a French humanitarian organization which develops innovative ways in setting up Filipino youths to realize employability in the future. And because of the various initiatives of TP in the Philippines over the years, we have been recognized as the first and most consistently certified Great Place to Work. This is proof of our commitment to creating a workplace that champions and empowers people to succeed. As our founder Daniel Julien fondly says, ‘Happy employees make happy customers.’”

“Happy employees make happy customers.” Ricasa quotes TP founder and CEO Daniel Julien. The organization is the first and most consistently certified Great Place to Work® organization in the Philippines.
Also in attendance at the event were Minister Delegate for French Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad Laurent Saint-Martin and DTI Secretary Cristina Aldeguer-Roque. Their presence underscored the shared commitment of France and the Philippines to fostering robust economic relations.
TP was founded in 1978 in Paris, France by Chief Executive Officer Daniel Julien. TP in the Philippines began operations in 1996 and has since grown significantly, currently employing over 60,000 people in the country, and operating in 27 business sites located across Metro Manila, Antipolo, Cavite, Baguio, Metro Laoag, Clark, Bacolod, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and General Santos City.
Earlier this year, TP attained its fourth consecutive recognition as one of the Top Best Workplaces in the Philippines under the Large Enterprises Category.
