MicroSourcing and Beepo empower 500 farmers with tools, training and support

Every grain of rice, every tomato, and every cabbage starts with a farmer’s hands. In the Philippines, those hands often work against the odds—limited tools and cold storage, and little security for their harvests.

This is why MicroSourcing and Beepo have teamed up with Rural Rising Philippines on a PHP 600,000 Food Security and Social Impact Program supporting 500 farmers across Luzon.

Rural Rising is a nonprofit grassroots effort that helps farmers through rescue buys and whose mission is to develop farming communities to be sustainable and provide economic opportunity in remote rural areas.

Through this partnership, farmers will have access to food processing equipment and cold storage to keep produce fresh. They will join skill and capacity trainings to strengthen their operations. And MicroSourcing and Beepo employees can join volunteer opportunities to rescue produce.

“Imagine the impact: 500 farmers equipped with the knowledge and resources to sustain their businesses. Families with stable income. More food reaching markets instead of landfills,” said CEO Haidee Enriquez.

The partnership was officially signed on August 8 between Rural Rising founders, Ace Estrada and Andie Estrada, along with MicroSourcing and Beepo leaders—CEO Haidee Enriquez, Senior Vice President of Client Experience Michael Oliver Dela Peña,  Vice President of Legal and Shared Services Atty. John Joenelle Nudo, and Vice President of Talent Acquisition and People Strategy Kris Lynne Tinaza.

The collaboration took root back in 2024 when MicroSourcing began learning about Rural Rising’s mission and saw how it closely aligned with our values. We saw the need even up close in April 2025 when Enriquez visited Rural Rising’s headquarters in Nueva Ecija, the “Rice Granaries of the Philippines,” and there, she met farmers, listened to their stories, and saw firsthand how small changes can grow into something bigger, bolder, and better.

“When we invest in our farmers, we invest in the sustainable future of our communities. We are proud to stand with Rural Rising PH in making a real, lasting difference—one harvest and one farmer at a time”, Enriquez said.
